8 December 2009: The acclaimed National Geographic
documentary film "Inside Mecca" screens at Amman's Royal Film

November 2009: Anisa Mehdi joins board of directors of
"El Masar El Khalil," the Path of the Friend. This inspired
non-profit organization seeks to connect humanity,
step-by-step, on an actual walking trail that approximates the
journey of the prophet Ibrahim (Abraham). The journey allows
walkers to experience first-hand hospitality of villagers in
Turkey, Jordan, and Palestine. It brings economic benefit to

23-24 November: Jordan's Higher Council for the Affairs
of Persons with Disabilities (http://www.hcd.gov.jo)
launches its first national conference. The event is at Le
Royal Hotel in Amman. Whetstone Productions, in association
with Moon Productions (www.moonproductionme.com),
presents a short film about some of the people living with
disabilities in the Hashemite Kingdom; their lives highlight
what works and what doesn't in terms of job opportunity,
inclusive education, and early intervention.

"Muslim Voices: Arts and Ideas" launches in
New York City June 5-12. This arts festival presents music,
visual art, theatre, film, conversation and a Souk at the Asia

Communication professor, Anisa Mehdi, has been awarded
a 2009-2010 Fulbright Fellowship to teach in Jordan. The

Anisa Mehdi named 2009-10 Fulbright Scholar. Anisa Mehdi will
be off to Amman, Jordan, to work with professionals and
students in media and communications for the upcoming academic
year. The Fulbright Scholars Program is designed to
“increase mutual understanding between the people of the

North Dakota State University hosted Anisa Mehdi on
